Where is Da Nang and Hoi An?

Da Nang doesn’t have the ancient like Hanoi or the bustling atmosphere of Ho Chi Minh City. This city is known as a modern but extremely clean and environmentally friendly city and possesses a fair number of tourist attractions. We can list a few names: Ba Na Hills with spectacular sights and entertaining locations, the Golden Bridge that paints a graceful arc in the sky, or the Marble Mountains and its sacred pagodas.

And if you are a fan of beautiful beaches, or water sports like me, I want to tell you that Danang is a paradise of the beach. You can read more to know the beaches in Da Nang in this post:

Only 20 kilometers from Da Nang is the ancient town named Hoi An. The town is famous because of its historical heritage and unique architecture, which brings a feeling of nostalgia. The number of crafts such as ceramic production, tailoring workshops, wood carving, and lanterns also contribute to its attractiveness. In 1999, UNESCO accepted Hoi An ancient town is one of the World Heritage Sites and that makes it’s one of the places you should not miss when visiting Vietnam.

Flight from Hanoi to DaNang

There are 20 flights from Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi to Da Nang International Airport per day, which means more options for you. Traveling by airplane is no longer an overly expensive method. In fact, you will find yourself smiling at the price between $35 – $65 for a low-cost flight.
To reserve your direct flight from creditable airlines? Visit Baolau or 12go.asia

With that said, I would say your best transportation from Hanoi to Da Nang is flight. It’s fast, comfortable, safe, and economically beneficial.

From Da Nang International Airport to Hoi An, you need to take a taxi or bus.

Airline Brand in Viet Nam and your choice

Vietnam Airline: Being the leading international airline brand of Vietnam with top quality service will make you really satisfied. But besides that, the ticket price will often be more expensive than other brands. (20kg carry luggage and extra with fee)

Vietjet Air, or Jetstar: Not too expensive as Vietnam Airline brand. These are great options if you want to save some money when traveling between Vietnamese cities. (7kg carry luggage and extra with fee)

Bamboo Airways: is a new brand of Vietnam Airlines with young staff. This brand even serves free snacks or bread for short flights like from Hanoi to DaNang. (7kg carry luggage and extra with fee)

Bus from Hanoi to DaNang

The amount of time it takes if you go by bus is the same as going by train. Hence, the only remarkable difference is the price.

Bus is perhaps the least expensive choice. you can get bus e-tickets from Baolau or 12go.asia at the price of $15 – $23 each.

You will experience the same joy of sightseeing along the journey. I personally think you should go for a bus if noises of trains against the railway bother you. Another benefit of this option is how convenient it is. The frequency of buses is around 20 minutes per bus. It will be easy for you to catch a ride anytime.

Motorbike from Hanoi to DaNang

Motorbike is a favorite choice of many, not only because it’s the most popular transportation in Vietnam but also for how interesting and flexible it is. Along the way, you’re absolutely free to pull a halt at any spot that attracts your eyes. With a motorbike, everything is up to you.

The most common schedule usually takes 5 or 6 days:

Day 1: From Hanoi to Tan Ky (The ride is 12 hours long, thus, people also divide it into 2 days in order to not miss on many locations.)

Day 2: From Tan Ky to Phong Nha (Phong Nha – Ke Bang is on UNESCO World Heritage List.)

Day 3: From Phong Nha to Khe Sanh

Day 4: From Khe Sanh to Hue (The beautiful imperial city)

Day 5: From Hue to Da Nang

When you choose to rent a bike, be careful and check on its parts like gears, throttles, tires, and so on. It might be a hassle if you’re on the highway and something goes wrong. Last but not least, if Vietnam’s traffic isn’t familiar to you, riding a bike can be dangerous.

If you aren’t limited in terms of time, extending the duration of the road trip is also a favorable choice. Rather than darting along the routes relentlessly, you will have the opportunity to actually discover the beauty of Vietnam.
